VISION ZERO MURAL

Earlier this summer I created this fun mural in association with LACCNP for Mayor Garcetti's VISION ZERO initiative. The City's goal is to eliminate all traffic deaths by 2025. I figured that creating a large mural aimed at the kids in the neighborhood would be best for the initiative in this particular location. The mural is located on the side of Sam's Market on the corner of Westlake and 6th St. The title is "Cuidado Niños Jugando" (Caution Children Playing). I hope people enjoy the mural and the message as they travel around the MacArthur Park area.

TREJO'S COFFEE AND DONUTS!

Unless you've been hiding under a rock in LA, you know that actor and all around bad ass, Danny Trejo, has opened up a donut shop in Hollywood. I was honored to have been commissioned to create two large paintings that were installed on the exterior of the flashy pink building.

Next time you go grab some donuts take a selfie in front of one of my pieces and please tag me on instagram (@manoneart)

Trejo's Coffee and Donuts is located in Hollywood:

6785 Santa Monica Blvd
at Highland Ave
Los Angeles, Ca 90038.

MAN ONE X ESTRELLA JALISCO X THRILLIST

This summer I had the opportunity to create a wonderful mural to honor my lovely parents. Something I've been wanting to do for a while now. It is definitely one of my highlights of the year so far.  Thanks to Estrella Jalisco and Thrillist for sponsoring this project and documenting it in such a great way. Check out the video, in depth interview, and pics below.

MY FIRST METAL SCULPTURE!

Last year I was asked by my friend and art collector, Jan, if I would create a metal sculpture for her home. I immediately said YES!  Mind you, I've never created any sculpture of this kind before. I also don't know anything about metal fabrication or welding, but why should I let something like that stop me! As an artist it's always exciting to learn new things and push yourself into uncomfortable territories. Sometimes you need to stretch yourself to grow. Here's my journey in pics.
